On rare occasions, a Christian artist comes along who has such a distinctive voice that the audience is awed upon hearing the first words out of her mouth. Rachel Keagy is one such special talent. Her voice is distinctive. Style original. Her unique arrangements bear little likeness to the too often cloned Nashville Country or modern rock sounds too common in today's contemporary music. Rachel writes her songs from her hometown of Austin, Texas.
Her CDs are produced in a small L.A. studio run by a master musician who hails from Chile, who is a guitarist, pianist, and her father. From this special heritage, God has fed Rachel's soul with a love for music and given her a refreshingly original voice. He has created a uniquely “Rachel” sound to her contemporary Christian music. Out of her heart and mind come words that describe her perfect relationship with Jesus Christ, “Lord bring me back to you. I want to be nowhere else.”
Together, Rachel and her father have produced many songs to date. One CD “Sing It For Him” is available online at her website www.rachelkeagy.com. Her second CD is titled “Masterpiece” and features a song of the same name written by her father and his wife, Claudia. “Masterpiece” is set to release in early 2007. The new website will also launch early in 2007. Independent artists like Rachel write songs, produce their music, and perform for the love of the Lord. It's a calling and a ministry that encourages Christians and brings others to Christ.
